Meet the PTO

Michelle Tomalonis, President

I have two pretty cool kids, and an even cooler husband, Brian. Originally from California and Connecticut, we stumbled upon Abington in 2009 after my husband’s time in the Marine Corps was completed. It has been a journey since. I have a 3rd grader at SBS , and love the community we have here. If you don't see me at school, it is probably because I'm at a soccer field or hockey rink. For my day job, I work in the Cyber Security world, and LOVE what I do.

5 Fun Facts About Me:

My California roots run deep, which is why I hate wearing shoes.. winter, summer, spring, you’ll find me without shoes on.
I come from a long line of famous 10 pin bowlers, and we owned a bowling center in California for 47 years. My mom was a professional for 17 years, and my brother and sister are rockstars in the sport. My step-dad just was honored into the Hall of Fame. I retired at 14 😊.
While I am from California, all of my family now lives in Phoenix, and as the youngest of three, I chose to be the furthest one away from home (which is hard!)… however, summer in PHX – no thank you!
I say it daily that our kids are truly gifts from God. They breath and live kindness, spreading love and joy. It is truly an honor to be their mom.
We aren’t normally home on the weekends. My kids average anywhere between 5 to 10 sporting events between Friday nights and Sunday evenings between hockey, soccer, baseball and flag football.

Christine Graziano-Neel, Vice President

Mom of two incredible daughters Hannah (18) and Madelyn (9) in 3rd grade at SBS! My day job is DE&I in HR for a global company. I love what I do and the people I get to work with. The best part about my work is all the amazing people from all over the world I get to meet.

My dream place to live would be in the mountains of Northwest Colorado
I served in the USMC working on FA/18 Fighter Jets in Miramar California
Horses, horses and more horses. Madelyn is a rodeo girl and we spend almost all of our free time riding and competing
I just dropped my “baby girl” off to her Freshman year in college. Let me tell you that was HARD
I value the simple things in life the most, spending time with my family and friends, experiences over “stuff” every time, traditions and being the best mom I can be.

Elyse McMenimon, Treasurer

Mom of two amazing kids (2nd and K) and two fur pups. My husband Brett is an SBS graduate making my kiddos second generation knights! My entire career has been in auditing. I work in Corporate Audit at State Street which is how I ended up in this role #spredsheets.

I love to run (Macklemore pandora station) because I have an ice cream addiction
If I have an ounce of free time, you’ll find me sneaking a chapter of my book. I could spend hours talking about my favorite authors or finding new authors to explore.
I’m either perfectly organized or perfectly a disaster - there really is no in between :)
I love to cook - you can always find Brett and I trying new recipes
I’m an old soul, believe in kindness and always looking for the glass half full

Secretary - Meghan Casagrande

My husband Kevin and I live in Rockland with our 3 children, Caileigh (12), Matty (11), and Michael (2) I was recently elected to be the new SBS PTO Secretary, which, in hindsight, was most likely a direct result of running unopposed for the position. Am I qualified? Very possibly, yes. Though I don’t have any secretary experience, per se, I did a brief stint as Treasurer in high school a bajillion years ago. I am confident my teenage treasury experience, and the fact that I am a seasoned teacher, will help me as I dive into this new role with gusto and nearly no trepidation.

5 FunFacts about me:

My husband Kevin and I have been married 20 years!
I have spent close to 2 decades in the classroom in various capacities, including elementary school teacher, middle school para, and now, as a night school teacher for adults earning their high school diploma or GED.
I love rap music, unapologetically and almost entirely without embarrassment.
A few years ago I won a board breaking contest. I punched 25 boards in 30 seconds. Yes, there is video proof of my most awesome accomplishment.
We have a Vizsla dog named Semper, who has as much bounding energy as a classroom full of sugar-crazed 6 year olds the week before Christmas.
