Kindergarten Screening Needed for Admissions
January, 2008
Please be aware
that in order to provide a quality education for all at St.
Bridget’s School, our Admissions Policy for Kindergarten will
now include a Kindergarten screening. Many factors determine
a child’s readiness for kindergarten. Among them are the child’s
chronological age, social and emotional maturity, academics
needs, as well as fine and gross motor skills. Children will
be evaluated based upon their readiness through the use of a
screening inventory. This will be a helpful tool for the teacher
to determine the child’s level of readiness. It, also, will
help our staff advise parents on programs. Our number one priority
will always be to provide the best possible education for each
and every child. The screening will take place in early March.
Parents will be notified of the date and time that they should
bring their child in for screening.
